Chapala

This Georgian-Colonial single-family home in Pacific Palisades was designed for clients who grew up on the East Coast, where this architectural style has a longstanding history. They requested a residence that would accommodate their family and reflect traditional design elements from their background, while also meeting contemporary needs. Research into the historical aspects of the Georgian-Colonial style informed the exterior, including the massing, symmetry, brick material, and traditional detailing. The project integrates a modern open floor plan with connected living, dining, and kitchen spaces. Custom interior details such as ceiling features, trim profiles, and millwork maintain the traditional aesthetic throughout the home. Nefer Fernandez, as reform collective’s Studio Director, was part of the architecture team that executed the design and construction.
