Mission Rock
Mission Rock spans 28 acres of former industrial land by the bay, designed as a hub for work, play, and living in San Francisco. The first building, Visa’s 13-storey mixed-use headquarters, draws from both the city’s urban character and eastern California’s geological formations. Developed through a public-private partnership with the San Francisco Giants, Tishman Speyer, and the Port of San Francisco, Mission Rock aims to serve civic life and reflect California’s heritage. The Visa campus, situated on Toni Stone Crossing, features architecture inspired by Devils Postpile’s basalt columns, with a dynamic façade, green terraces, and textured storefronts at street level. Faceted white precast panels reference Yosemite’s rock formations, creating varied light and shadow throughout the day. Employees will enjoy outdoor terraces from the second to fifth floors and on the rooftop, overlooking Oracle Park, downtown San Francisco, and the Bay Bridge. Nefer Fernandez was part of the Adamson Associates Architect of record team that executed the Design Development and Construction Documents.
