Solo House
Located near Cretas, Spain, south-west of Barcelona, the house is a vacation home set among almond trees at the edge of a forest, with Parc Natural dels Ports beyond. This home is part of Solo Houses a collection of homes designed by architects at the avant-garde of the field. The house features a single elevated circular floor, offering panoramic views, cantilevered from a square base. Guests enter via an external stairway that leads to the center of the home. Inside, two curved walls structure the open-plan living and dining areas, guiding visitors toward the expansive 360-degree views and visually connecting the space with the surrounding landscape. Nefer Fernandez, as a designer, was part of the Johnstonmarklee team that executed the house design.
