Stafford Residence

The project is a complete remodel of an estate located on a 1.2-acre site within Sherwood Country Club. Meticulously designed to respect the existing colonial architectural style while providing a contemporary touch, the design approach prioritizes views employing expansive glazing to frame the world-renowned golf course, the mountainous landscape, and its expansive multi-use newly designed backyard. The floor plan celebrates an indoor-outdoor California culture, with communal spaces tailored for both entertainment and daily activities. The kitchen, pub/bar, and lounge areas are seamlessly integrated, while dedicated private quarters—such as a first-floor primary suite and a separate guest house—offer sanctuary and privacy. Externally, the design extends into the surrounding environment, incorporating features such as a pool, fire-lit seating areas, and a vineyard to evoke a resort-inspired atmosphere. Harmoniously aligned with its setting, the home exemplifies a refined yet relaxed standard of contemporary California living.
